Rumi dances in Steffisburg May 2008
Barbara and Jonas from Steffisburg went nuts and bought five paintings! After being exhibited in Basel, St. Gallen, and hanging in our appartment for several years, Rumi finds a new home. It was also the symbol for the "A Year in St. Gallen" show - featured on the flyer. We are glad to see that Barbara and Jonas found a nice spot at their appartment for it. "Summer Steet Scenes" were in exhibits in St. Gallen and Geneva and are now on display at the headquarters of hotelleriesuisse. "New Abstract 2" and "Odd Light" were also featured in Geneva.

The unique quality of printing March - April 2008

I got to fulfill a lifelong dream of learning and producing graphic works (intaglio and lithograph) or prints through Trigos Studio Basel. For artist of all kinds printing has a special appeal, a unique feeling and quality. For this reason many people leap at the chance to learn about this messy archaic and time consuming process. Litho stones are cumbersome and of course heavy, ink is tacky and messy and ruins anything it comes in contact with, and its very hard work. Just the process of filling a stone with ink leads to aching muscles, sweat on the brow and blistered palms. Perhaps it is the hard work that has some appeal but as well there is a pleasing appearance to printed materials that can not be achieved through any other process or medium. Picasso, Miro and numerous other modern artists worked extensively in the print field. => read and see more about printing

Paintings find new home February 2008
Sanchez Art Werk is pleased to anounce that two works (Machine Men and Flimsy Perches) have found a new home. Thomas Müller from Lengnau purchased the two paintings after an evening at the Pickwick. Both works were previously exhibited (one most recently in Geneva, where thousands saw it) and Thomas bought them within half an hour of seeing them. Goes to show, when people connect with art, it's automatic. Many thanks to Thomas - hope you enjoy them - lets hang out again sometime!
